Privacy Policy – BEAP-MAR

Information for interested parties pursuant to art. 13 EU Regulation no. 679/2016 

“General Data Protection Regulation” INFORMATION ART.13 EU REGULATION N. 679/2016 University de Santiago de Compostela organisation as “Data Controller”, pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation No. 679/2016 (hereinafter referred to as GDPR) provides you with the following information.

The Data Controller is University de Santiago de Compostela.

Purpose of processing: University de Santiago de Compostela will process your personal data for the implementation of the Interreg Europe project BEAP-MAR, in order to carry out activities through all the channels required by the European Community and possibly within its institutional activities.

Communication and dissemination of data, recipients: Within the limits pertinent to the processing purposes indicated, personal data (images and audio-visual footage) may be published and disseminated on all BEAP-MAR’s social channels (website, LinkedIn, Twitter, posters, flyers, etc.) and may be communicated to project stakeholders and the European Community.

Data Retention Period: The data retention period is 10 years from the end of the BEAP-MAR Project.

Rights of the Data Subject: At any time, you may exercise your rights vis-à-vis the data controller, pursuant to Articles 15 to 22 and Article 34 of the GDPR. The signing of attendance sheets certifies that you have taken note of the methods relating to the processing of personal data, indicated in the information pursuant to art. 13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 and pursuant to art. 13 of the Regulations and consent to the processing of data as explained on this page.

You have the right to obtain, in the cases provided for, access to personal data and the rectification or cancellation thereof or the limitation of the processing concerning them or to oppose the processing (art. 15 et seq. of the Regulations).

You also have the right to data portability, to request that BEAP-MAR transfers the data collected about you to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain condition. The appropriate request should be addressed to the Data Protection Officer (email: luis.botana@usc.es). If you make a request, BEAP-MAR has one month to respond to you.

Where you believe that the processing of personal data relating to youcoccurs in violation of the provisions of the Regulation, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority, as provided for in Article 77 of the GDPR.

Methods of data processing: The personal data provided by you at the time of signing the sign-in/attendance document and the photos/audio-visual footage recorded by the data processors of BEAP-MAR will be processed both with computer tools and on paper media as well as on any other type of suitable media, for it to be used or reproduced, in whole or in part, in photographs, illustrations, videos, animations, brochures, website and social networks, advertising and all material produced for information and dissemination of BEAP- MAR project activities. The assignment of image rights will be for an unlimited time and free of charge.

Persons in charge of data processing: The processing will be carried out by University de Santiago de Compostela personnel and collaborators, previously identified, in such a way as to guarantee the security of the data and may be carried out using computer and telematic tools suitable for storing, managing and transmitting them. Those in charge of data processing are the employees and
collaborators of University de Santiago de Compostela assigned to this collaborative project and specially appointed, the communications office, the IT office, the administrative office.

Compulsory or non-compulsory consent: The provision of your data is optional. Failure to provide consent will not allow University de Santiago de Compostela to use the images and/or audio-visual footage of the data subject for the purposes indicated above. 

Nature of conferment: The provision of data is optional in nature. The expression of consent is declared in the Attendance List document for each meeting.
